Graphics-Hosting Possibilities
Your own ISP will usually offer some free space mine does. Otherwise, check these out. Flickr's photo albums for much of my work-a free account is available if you post fewer than a certain number of photos a month or have less than 3 Sets, which is plenty for most people. (See an example of how theirs works.) For classes, we normally have a group pool on Flickr which allows us to share work, comments, feedback, and so forth, easily, so I do encourage students to use Flickr if possible.
You can also post your art, notes, thoughts, etc. on a "blog" or weblog, a kind of online journal. Mine is at Live Journal, and my I.D. is katequicksilvr, if you want to see how it works. This link will get you there easily.
LJ, as we call it, has recently made it easy to put graphics up in your journal entries (which you can also do easily from Flickr, of course), so you may want to look at that as an option.
Other online blogs are from Blogger.com, Wordpress.com, Typepad.com and more.
Of course I don't endorse any of the below resources I only know about my own ISP and Flickr's photo albums from personal experience. They've been used and recommended by others, though, so you may like them.
There are also a number of free servers-I don't use them, since I have my own ISPs, but you may like them. Here are three:
